State of our State
Well...don't plan on coming to Michigan to pursue the American Dream. Any remaining entrepreneurial spirit around here has turned into Survival 101. Congrats Jennifer. You've landed us the top spot for unemployment, over a whopping 7%. From 38th in the nation to dead last. Sorry, but the blame has to fall somewhere. Michigan continues to lag behind the rest of the nation. And it aint gettin' any better. Maybe we can raise taxes and pump more money into the welfare system so the poor won't be so poor. Wrong. Feeding a welfare junkie's habit doesn't help him get better and back on his feet, it keeps him milking the system for more and being lazier than he was before. No, let's raise taxes and put more money into public education so that kids will be smarter when they get out of school and be able to get a job. Wrong. It doesn't help to have a lot of smart people if there's no jobs to be had. But that's the liberal way. Bigger government will solve everything. Or not. Our economic state starts and ends with the small business. Lowering taxes and finding ways to benefit the entrepreneur in Michigan is the only way to create business expansion, job growth, and a flourishing economy and attract people to your state. What's next for us, public health care?? Lord help us all. We're going under.
